window tinting? Contact Us →
A high quality window film install requires more than just using the right film. It’s also about technique. That’s why when it comes to installing window film, whether it’s a window film installation for your New York City office, school, or commercial building, we always put forth our best effort. We have a very specific process that we follow for every installation. We believe that this process not only allows us to do our job more accurately and thoroughly, but it also provides our clients with a better experience and results that last longer.
Step 1: Consultation
We begin every project by first conducting an onsite consultation. During a consultation, we meet with you to discuss your goals, learn about your aesthetic preferences, and explain the different window tinting options that are available. During this time, we may also conduct a brief inspection and take site measurements to help us prepare for the day of installation. Once you have made a decision about whether they want to proceed with the project, we schedule an appointment for the installation day.
Step 2: Preparation
To expedite the installation process, we prepare all materials beforehand in house. Not only does this help to streamline the install, but it also keeps our services more eco friendly since fewer materials are wasted when the film is precut. Using a high powered plotter, we cut all the film based on the site measurements that we previously taken.
Step 3: Installation
During the day of your appointment, your project manager will meet you onsite to briefly discuss the specifics of the installation so that you know what to expect in regards to the actual work being done on your building as well as a general timeline of when it will be completed. Then, we clean all the glass and apply C-Bond as a priming agent.* Any excess primer is removed using a squeegee and the glass is once again cleaned along with the window frame. The film is allowed to dry and set and the installation is complete.
*Please note, C-Bond is an optional treatment, but one that is highly recommended. Projects without C-Bond may take longer for the film to dry and achieve full clarity.
Why We Use C-Bond
We use C-Bond as a way to expedite the installation process and protect the film once it has set. Traditional techniques of using soap and water do nothing to improve the performance of the film, but C-Bond is different. C-Bond is a unique priming agent because it alters glass at the molecular level, making it stronger and more resistant to shattering from rocks, flying debris, golf balls, and other damaging objects. We recommend C-Bond as an added measure to protect your investment in new window film.
